Project Open Source|Open Access was a University of Toronto initiative to develop a networked community of scholars, students and members of the broader community interested in the phenomenon of open source and open access.

Project Open Source|Open Access was a University of Toronto initiative to develop a networked community of scholars, students and members of the broader community interested in the phenomenon of open source and open access. This cross-divisional, tri-campus project was launched in November 2004 with a two-and-a-half year grant from the Provost's Academic Initiatives Fund (AIF) to the Knowledge Media Design Institute (KMDI) .
